Electricity Price Management with Ngenic Tune
Heat your home when electricity is cheaper
When electricity is cheaper, Tune can heat a little more, and scale back when prices are higher. But the system doesn’t just look at the price of electricity. It also takes into account indoor and outdoor temperatures, weather forecasts, and how your specific home responds to heating.
By combining these factors, the heating is adjusted to suit both the specific conditions of your home and fluctuations in the electricity market. You choose the temperature you want in your home, while Tune handles the optimization in the background.

For those with hourly or per-quarter rates
To use electricity price control, you need electric heating, an electricity plan with hourly or quarter-hourly rates, and a Tune Standard or Tune Premium subscription. Tune supports quarter-hourly rates and retrieves price information from the electricity exchange, regardless of which electricity provider you use.
You can easily enable this feature in the app under Settings → Electricity Rates, where you can also choose how much the electricity rate should affect the heating.
Adjust the balance between comfort and savings
Electricity price control can be set to one of seven levels. A lower level has less impact on the temperature in your home, while a higher level allows the electricity price to have a greater impact and can result in greater cost savings.
For geothermal, air-to-water, and exhaust-air heat pumps, levels 3–5 are often a good starting point. For electric boilers, higher levels may be appropriate. Track the trends in the app’s history and adjust the level until you find the balance between comfort and cost-effectiveness that works for you.
